Jim Park leads the Banking and Financial Services search practice at Berim Partners, bringing to the role a rare combination of deep industry expertise and decades of executive leadership across a spectrum of banking environments.

A third-generation banker, Jim has devoted his career to building and leading financial institutions at the highest levels, with a consistent emphasis on client experience, community relationships, and sustainable growth. His executive tenure spans both community banking and large holding company environments, giving him an unusually broad perspective on talent, culture, and organizational performance across the industry.

Jim's career includes service as Birmingham City President for West Alabama Bank, where he also held earlier roles as Aliceville City President, Executive Vice President, and Senior Lending Officer. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President of Correspondent Banking at BBVA/Compass Bank, where he managed a sales team covering markets from Texas to Maine. He also served as Director of Government Relations at New South Federal Bank.

This breadth of experience — spanning commercial lending, correspondent banking, government relations, and city-level market leadership — positions Jim as a trusted advisor to financial institutions seeking transformational talent at the executive level.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jim is deeply committed to civic leadership. He has served as President of the Aliceville Chamber of Commerce, Aliceville Rotary Club, the Aliceville Museum, and Aliceville Little Theater, and served on the Board for Pickens Academy. In Birmingham, he has been an active leader with the Birmingham Area Chamber of Commerce, the Vulcan Finance Committee, Sloss Furnace, the Rotary Club of Birmingham, the Redstone Club, and is a member of St. Mary's-on-the-Highlands Episcopal Church.

Jim holds a degree from the University of Alabama and graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.
